Maslow Hierarchy of Needs

Abraham Maslow defined a hierarchy of needs pyramid, in which the needs of the bottom of the pyramid are the most basic and need to be done before thinking about the needs at the top of the pyramid.
Each individual is responsible for evolving in this scale to achieve self-realization.
In total there are five Maslow needs:

  1. Physiological Needs. Are the basic needs for humans, such as eating, drinking, sleeping and breathing.
  2. Safety Needs. These are the needs to have security in various aspects of your life. Having security for your freedom, guaranteed by the government. Here are also included job security and health.
  3. Lve/Belonging Needs. Love, affection, friendship, belonging to a group of people, family members or not, that give you these feelings.
  4. Esteem needs. The recognition from ourselves and from others of our capabilities and contribution to improving the welfare of society.
  5. Self-Actualization Needs. Achieve everything you dream and become whatever you can be. Developing our skills and have a daily experience of personal growth.

As you can see, money is important to meet basic needs and security, but since then everything is related to the inside of each person. That is why there are people with money to satisfy their basic needs but are unhappy because the money does not buy the higher needs.
There are studies which show that, above a certain income value, the level of joy isn't changed.
So live a simple life and think about your needs to achieve happiness.

When its put that way, it seems so simple. funny how these basic things are often overlooked in the pursuit of illusory goals and misguided desires.
